HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco – Patron of "Professor Arne Ljungqvist Anti-Doping Foundation".
HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, called the "Prince of Sport", is a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1985 and the President of the National Olympic Committee of Monaco. From the Winter Olympic Games 1988 in Calgary until 2002 in Salt Lake City he has taken part as a participant. Other sports that he has been practicing are athletics, rowing, football, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, riding, skiing, squash, golf, windsurfing, fencing and volleyball.
– "I am of course very honored and deeply thankful that HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco has accepted to be the Patron of my Foundation" says Professor Ljungqvist. Monaco has always been my "second home-country". It has also hosted "my" association – The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and has been very kind to the International Olympic Organisation (IOC), where I am the chairman of its medical commission", continues Professor Ljungqvist. We do hope and look forward to that HSH Prince Albert and HSH Princess Charlene will be able to participate in the foundation's activities in times to come," ends Professor Ljungqvist.
